Olivia and Norah | Birth Photography at Presbyterian Hospital Plano by Dallas Birth Photographer Ashley Langford

Witnessing and documenting a birth, twins in the case, is truly an amazing experience. Birth photography at Presbyterian Hospital Plano is allowed. The doctors and nurses were so accommodating. This was my second time photographing a Caesarian section but the first where I could be present inside the operating room.

The mother called to tell me they were headed to the hospital and within an hour I was there with them at Presbyterian Hospital Plano. I was there just three hours but got some photos I’m really proud of.

Nhi | Birth Photography at Las Colinas Medical Center by Dallas Birth Photographer Ashley Langford

The first text came around 7 PM – “Contractions building, we’re headed to the hospital.” Throughout the evening we exchanged texts almost hourly as labor progressed. At 1:30 AM I got the text, “Doctor is on the way… Time to come in”. Birth photography is unpredictable and the birth photographer must always be ready. This is one of two births I’d booked where the due dates were within days of each other so my gear was prepped and practically already in the car. Off to Las Colinas Medical Center I went!
